Daulat Ganj Safari

What’s on

Buffer-zone monsoon drive

July – September

Buffer-zone monsoon drive

Morning 6–9 AM · Evening 3–6 PM

Unlike many core tiger-reserve roads, the Daulatganj route is in the buffer. Local reports say visitors can still enter in the rains. Traction is slower, the forest is greener, and bears are more active around insects and fruit.

Winter light & Chambal birds

October – March

Winter light & Chambal birds

Morning slot preferred

Best weather on the circuit. Waterbirds and raptors use the Chambal. Pleasant gypsy hours and clearer views from Garadia and the new Chambal point.

Summer water-point watching

April – June

Summer water-point watching

Early morning only if heat is severe

Hadoti summers are harsh. Animals concentrate near remaining water. Carry water, a hat, and follow any heat-wave timing changes announced by the reserve.
